Each slot stores a GenericFunctionDefinition (JavaScript) that the engine runs at a
specific lifecycle point on the connection that subscribed to this event type:
subscribe — register a webhook with the external system on subscription create
unsubscribe — deregister the webhook on subscription delete
handle — process an incoming webhook body/headers/query and return events
refresh — keep an external subscription alive on the existing refresh scheduler
